Why, thank you! I write fiction for my own pleasure and it's always
good to know others enjoy it too. You know of the painters known as
the Flemisch Primitives, of course: Bosch, van Eyck, Breughel, and
others... they traveled to Italy to study color, texture, and refine
their techniques, and then they returned home. When painting their
patrons in the foreground, they used the backdrop of the Italian
landscape they admired so much. My stories are much the same.
