Dan, Magnus, (and did I see Dave Thomas in there) just like old times
(before my time)

Firstly as a metaphysics, however provisional, MOQ provides a
description of reality as experienced by common sense and science, or
it is worthless. That's not "cast in stone", common sense and reality
will evolve, but systematically the whole must hang together, provide
credible explanations of the whole.

The distinct subjective-objective layers stuff ? My take is this. The
mapping of the S-O model to the
inorganic(physical)-biological(organic)-social-intellectual model is
probably approximate, simply because the S-O mode is flawed, not
because the P-O-S-I (MoQ) model is unsystematic.

All subjects are objects, but not all objects can be subjects. so in
fact to follow Magnus line; All the quality events are possible except
the physical-physical, organic-organic and physical-organic.

It takes a subject with an intentional stance to participate in the
quality of these low-level object-to-object events. (Was not the
magnet & iron-filings example a little contrived, as parodied in
Glenn's rotting apple ?)

Just a thought.
Ian
(Oh, and PS when AI arrives it will be Real-I, not Artificial, so no,
AI is technically impossible, but that's just a technicality.)
