example of how concepts (4th) evolve from ritual (3rd).

Ludwig Wittgenstein offers an (anti-) Private Language Argument:
roughly, using language depends on the ability to distinguish
what is correct from what is in error;
an isolated person cannot distinguish between what is correct
& what they think is correct;
:. an isolated person cannot use language.
Whether this argument is sound & if so, whether it applies to intellect
as well as language, is controversial.
