The lines could have been drawn differently. They could have been
greater or fewer in number. Pirsig's levels are familiar, convenient,
and hopefully useful. I'd really like to get beyond nit-picking the
boundaries and talk about using the levels.

Well I don't know if I'd call it "nitpicking", in the sense that I
personally find looking into the boundary regions a fun and
interesting endeavor. I've made the argument in the past that looking
at the boundaries will tell you more about Pirsig's levels than
looking in the middle.
But that doesn't belay your point. I wasn't interjecting to try to
keep your discussion focused on the boundaries, I was merely
commenting on something Ian said I found quite interesting. By all
means, level-use ahoy!
