Hold your fire. Pirsig's must be the strangest case in the Western cultural
history by 1) presenting a system that will abolish academical philosophy
(philosophology)...

You think Pirsig's ideas would lead to the abolishment of philosophy courses at
the academy? Or do you see "Bo's MOQ" as the only course needed? In any event,
the Academy is dynamic and disciplines come and go, and I am not in nor
involved with a philosophy program, so this charge means nothing to me. 

But this is just more of your warped interpretration of Pirsig's ideas. Since
Pirsig's main involvement in recent times has been working with Ant to bring
his ideas into the philosophy discourse of the Academy.

Maybe it is YOU are simply afraid that Pirsig's ideas are much more relevant
than YOURS.

... by 2) postulating that it - with a welter rational disciplines - is the
last and topmost level in a system of levels that violently resist being moved
down inside the hierarchy.

Pirsig's metaphysics of Quality is an intellectual pattern. The morass and
distortions necessary to "make" it a "new level" are simply dismissable.
"Intellect" is not "violently resisting" anything, that's just absurdity.
"Intellect" is responding to a very low quality, and highly untenable
"argument" that is your revision of Pirsig. It is only your ego that sees it
otherwise.

Now, the MOQ is no level...

Pirsig's ideas are intellectual patterns, and your ideas are intellectual
patterns. There is no "THE MOQ" that you are both "interpreting". 

Now, you can propose that YOUR ideas constitute a "new level", and good luck
with that...

...but its treatment of the topmost - intellectual - level is at least as
humiliating for intellect as intellect's own was for the social level.

Pirsig's ideas expand rationality. If your ideas "humiliate" it, then good luck
with that...

This intellect vs. society struggle isn't over and intellect's resistance to
the MOQ will be no less protracted...

[Arlo]
An expansion of rationality will, no doubt, take some time. But with people
like Pirsig and Ant and others behind it, I have no doubt it will occur.

Not by violence, but by intellect's means, it will not allow itself to be
reduced from thinking itself to the static value of a thinking
subject/objective world.

[Arlo]
This is just in your mind, Bo. Whatever, your SOL revisions have no quality for
me whatsoever.

See, you want it all shifted to an inter-academic dispute, harmless for
intellect that happily sees countless "intellectual patterns" - i.e. ideas pop
up and compete....

This is almost too funny. You are suggesting the reason you can't articulate
why your ideas are BETTER than Pirsig's is because YOUR MOQ is above being an
idea? And you wonder why hardly anyone takes you seriously???

but there is just one MOQ and it is the one that reduces intellect from its
role in SOM....

And this is the delusion that drives your whole mess.

There is not "one MOQ", Pirsig's ideas constitute HIS ideas. That's all. And
your ideas are YOUR ideas. There is not "THE MOQ" sitting out there being
"interpreted" like an elephant by blind men.

And this is why you remain forever trapped in the quest for intepretative
legitimacy, why you rely on ongoing distortions and dishonesty, why you solely
concerned with "proving" that "your MOQ" is "the one true MOQ", and you seek
this based on being a better interpreter of (the now pre-hospitalized!) Pirsig
than Pirsig.

As I said, there is no doubt the SOL is intellectually worthless, and this is
why you rely on such nonsense to promote your little pet theory. You've proven
yourself incapable of taking it to its only valid ground, and thus the whole
thing is about emotional fulfillment (be it anti-intellectual hatred, love of
art, or your own need to feel "morally superior" to all the infidels of the
non-white, non-christian, non-western world). 

You claim to have "saved the MOQ", when all you are doing is whoring "it" out
to serve base emotional needs.

"Intellect's henchmen"?? That's funny, moving from a Messianic Complex to a
Superhero one?
