Steve:
I think you missed the point of the question. The issue isn't whether
or not Pirsig's MOQ has room for morals. The question is whether the
MOQ is a useful method for moral deliberation. I criticized Natural
Law theory because it only seems good for trying to borrow the
authority of Nature in support of one's prejudices whatever they may
be. I'm wondering if the MOQ has the same issue.
For example, have you (and I'll throw this out to everyone) ever used
the MOQ to help make a decision where morality was in question, or
have you only ever used it's authority to endorse what you already
took to be right and condemn what you already took to be wrong?
