Don't lose the content even if you have to switch off.
I've been experimenting with Ning as well as with Google Reader and
Wave. I've used wiki's inside and outside work, and I have to say they
never prove to be effective for interactive use unless it is genuinely
collaborative with well defined (and agreed) goals and active
management.
I also believe from experimenting with other technologies, that the
problem is rarely the platform itself .... after all MoQ-Discuss is an
old/low-tech mail-list. What works is the way people themselves act,
and that has scalability issues - mental bandwidth.
I'm interested in the linked database version of Lila. I believe
linking is the way to add value to the existing "discussion" format,
whatever the technology platform.
