"Self-aware" is SOM intellect's self-congratulatory term, claiming a
god's-eye view of existence. That pretty much fits with science's
view, although with quantum mechanics they discovered they couldn't
just sit back and tinker with the universe without affecting it. In some
mysterious fashion, the subject and the object were intimately
united. So kiss SOM goodbye. But, SOM is so firmly entrenched it
resists the findings of its own approved methodology with the tenacity
of an alcoholic clutching a dry martini.
