My ex-church went through a heavy NLP phase a while back. That whole thing
always amused me a bit, with it's over-the-top seriousness and all...

That actually was my point. Johnny's mommy WANTS him to experience getting
burned. She knows, as mothers have for millinia, that temporary pain,
caused by objects in the environment, rather than a subjective swat on the
tush, was actually a GOOD thing. Teaching Johnny an important lesson, in a
way he won't soon forget.
The VALUE of the overall experience lies in the entire
natural/social/intellectual environment taken as a whole context. NOT in
the mere biological pain of the immediate experience.
Value is too big to fit into "pure" experience, is what I'm saying. Been
sayin, for a while.

Well... I honestly DON'T think THAT is right. I believe that is because you
are wrong. And both statements mean the same thing.
So ipso facto quid pro quo....
each makes perfect sense.
NLP doesn't.
Playing around with word orders doesn't change rationality.
