[MD] DMB and Me

Ya' know, I thought about this again when I got home just now, and doesn't it bother you at all, Dave, that the ways in which we describe each others problem, our rhetoric of insult, if you will, is pretty much exactly the same? That it isn't hard at all to find me using the metaphor of clockwork to describe, negatively, our conversations?

Doesn't the fact that we pretty much see each other, and the other's "problem," in almost the exact same light suggest something to you?

I've never detected that kind of self-consciousness, not that I can remember at least. But that kind of self-consciousness on my part is what leads me to be a "glutton for punishment," that whenever you compose something I digest without puking (mainly--tick, tick, tick,--because of your astonishing attitude towards me, or really, your conversation partner), I give it consideration. Any time I detect what I, at least, think of as showing the signs of a person "really wants to talk and explore something with me" I have no qualms about completely forgetting the past. But perhaps that's what bothers you--my massive ego for making somebody debase themselves by prostrating themselves before the altar of "talk and explore something _with me_," which apparently shines too much of a light on my egotistical belief that people would care what I think.

Which, I guess, is why I keep wondering why you keep wandering back to me. It must be for sport. You say it's not for sport, but that just looks like a political move to me--"hey, I said X (as I wink to the crowd)". I don't know--your written behavior is gross. Like "icky." I feel like a third-grader reading it, and I don't like feeling like a third-grader.

I mean, part of the problem is that your case--to my eyes--looks like shit. That's my honest opinion. ... what I'm trying to tell you is that I avoid you because I do not think you are worth my time. ... You have not displayed to me that you are worth the time for me to spend at trying to get to the bottom of what you are saying, ... But you're such a bastard, why the fuck should I care about you?
