I don't quite remember, around 1800 I think. But North San Juan is widely
known around here for being in a banana belt climate. I think the warmth
rising from the Sacramento valley and up the yuba canyons yet trapped by
the sierras seems to just kiss us on it's journey out to space. And my
house has a southern exposure, which is nice.

Now THAT is a good question. You want the short version or the long?
Life.
That's the short answer.
Life makes me think Quality is special because life illustrates most
profoundly the immense difference between an organization of material into
chemistry professors and an organization of materials into chemistry
compounds.
We understand entropy. We don't understand the "life force". It doesn't
make sense from our normal scientific worldview, so most scientist ignore
the question. But Pirsig paid it attention and gave the concept "life"
which is what Quality is all about, in the long run.
Hey, you ever crack the covers on that biocentrism book yet?

No. Intuition is too flakey to "rely" upon. I do listen to it when it
deigns to tap me on the skull. I don't ignore it, but I mainly rely upon
reason.

Ok, yah East Coast girl, ('s are hip I really dig those styles they wear),
I get your point. it all melted the minute it hit the ground, we're getting
mixed sun, clouds, hail, rain. And then bright sunshiny day.
