Hi Ham and all,

Ham, it is unreasonable that you categorize the people who made possible the
machine you are using for communication worldwide, by building a computer
connected to a internet, supporting an email program, as being the result of
an (obsession with numbers and mathematics (an SOM preoccupation)).
Obsession with numbers doesn¹t make any sense at all in understanding such a
marvel! Mathematics is a real discipline in logic not an obsession.

I realize that you do not accept evolution. Imho the intellectual
capacities in a sentient individual, which enable the creation of a
computer, are different in reality than gravity immobilizing an inorganic
rock. I do not think that Essentialism has great explanatory power for
describing reality.

Evolution, levels in existence, is a more rational metaphysics in proposing
the basis of a discipline for examining the environment, rather than
awaiting revelation from an incomprehensible higher source.
