Hi Marsha,
Yea, I just took a look on the internet, would love to see them in full
size.  I can see why you bring in Turner.  There also seems to be some
Venetian influence, like Canaletto.  There is a great site called
canalettogallery, check out some of the boats (maybe I'm stretching it a
bit).  I just love his detail.  I have no doubt that art appears for a
reason other than what art history tells us.  There is something in the air.
