No. He did not. He brought it up after many, many repeated 
accusations about have a shallow understanding of Pirsig's work. If 
you ask me, he waited too long.

I responded in kind to illustrate the shallowness and sadness of the

Except it was not "in kind". And that says everything about whose ego 
needed rubbing.

Rather than congratulate, or accept, that Pirsig considers DMB a 
foremost philosopher on the MOQ, you choose to try to validate yourself.
