Hi Craig,
OK, I think I understand Darwin, I was trained in biology. Evolution has
its uses and its drawbacks as any theory does. All theories are temporary
waiting for the next one to come along. I was just looking at it from a
different point of view.
As Phaedrus would say, everything is a metaphor. What Mark would say is
every intellectual pattern is in the end a tautology. How can it not be, we
have to start with something and then refer back to it. There is no firm
ground, just bubbles floating around.
Just don't pop mine... (heh, heh).
