Platt,

Do you think SOM is a high Quality metaphysical outlook?

You bet.

I'm having such trouble deciphering "rests on" these days.

"Rests on" is SOM's way of describing how it believes evolution occurred over
time, from simple particles left over from the Big Bang to complex people like
you and me, each advance in complexity "resting on" a previous creation. But
without Quality no SOM, no intellect, no society, no biology, no inorganic, no
values, no reality. The whole enchalada rests on Quality, the Alpha value,
which "creates this world in which we live." (Lila, 9).

Confusion often occurs because a Metaphysics of Quality is a "logical
absurdity." (Lila, 5) By contrast, SOM is the model for "critical thinking."
Result:perplexity.

Heart and soul of reality, I get.

[Platt]
I knew you would. Others are baffled.
