Hello Ron or Frank Booth,

Can you provide a link to the 1961 paper you cite?   I am just a regular
human and not a scholar of Pirsig, so this info would be helpful to me.

I am honestly telling you that from my (and Bo's) perspective, Pirsig seems
to have sold out to the DMBs of the world in a bid for American Academic
Legitimacy at the expense of the real, true, mystical nature of the original
message he had in ZEN.  So shoot me.

Ron:
Pirsigs 1961 paper on quality in writing, written well before ZEN, is
consistent with the remainder of Pirsigs works. It in many ways was the
foundation.
It would give much insight into this claim of "original message"..
