Hi Mark and all,
Metaphysics identifies physics. As I interpret Pirsig He suggested
metaphysics to be DQ/SQ. In trying to come to some understanding of what he
meant by DQ, I experience an indefinable emotional level which evolves
before the intellectual level. Emotions are indefinable, and only the one
experiencing the emotion is able to be aware of the meaning, DQ. It is the
DQ emotional base which provides the interpretative validity for the defined
intellectual activity SQ in memory. The logic of the intellectual level,
mathematics SQ, interprets for communication to others the profound insights
DQ at the emotional level. I don't want to try to explain how men and women
experience emotions differently, except to say that men are better liars.
Eve gave me the apple.
