Thereby hangs a tale.  My brother is having a major meltdown, rejecting his
whole family and his kids and  marrying a russian bride.  whoo boy.  So no,
I didn't call him.

But interestingly,  and speaking of russian brides, I got a facebook invite
from Olia <http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001798493888&v=info>,
the Belarusian girl who came and stayed with us a couple of summers,
starting when she was 14, about 12 years ago.  She's all grown up.  I
wondered if I'd ever get in touch with her again - the girl who said "I wan'
to chat" - on the internet.  Even back then, she knew the most significant
thing to come down the turnpike was the world wide communication.
