How could it ever aid in our decision making to determine whether or
not we have free will? I see the issue as a trumped up one invented to
put certain theological questions to rest. But it is one that a
pragmatist can find no use for.

It has a huge impact on how we make decisions and act. that is why I asked that 
we
explore the consequences of each point of view. If we take that static patterns 
have no choice
then the possibility of change goes out the window. The best thing therefore to 
do is to
follow dynamic quality and to not think about it so it doesent depress you.

How bleak

It's just like church, it's what the concept of original sin does, the material,
