I think we must understand what the term "illusion" means..

That it is a distortion exaggeration and/or simplification..

it is a limit required for intelligibility.

the self, the "I" the moral agent is an idea a form.

forms ideas intelligibility is required to recognize and "know"

perception.

The main concern is HOW we craft the concept.
