Dude, that's so weak. The article begins by saying that the character of Lila stole the show so much that some people read it like a romance novel and the bulk of it is about how Pirsig has not written that kind of book. His second book is his attempt to be taken seriously as a philosopher and you're going to find fault in the fact that he doesn't use "love" as a central term in his metaphysics? Frankly, I think that's just an idiotic criticism.
