Hi, all -
Morals can't only be about empathy/compassion, though, because that's not
all there is to human life or to human survival. We have to include
aggression - the yang side to the yin - or else we will be forever partial
and have nothing to say to dominant personalities. Hypertrophic
compassion/empathy is problematic, and on a very wide scale could be as
troublesome long-term as hypertrophic aggression or atrophic compassion.
I like to say that compassion is empathy that puts its act on the road.
