Jan-Anders and Mark,

regarding the machine that goes bing... that was a constant reference for me
and Lu.  An illustration we'd offer when people would question our decision
to have our kids at home rather than in a hospital.

And a wondering too, if our beginnings determine our psychological
propensities, then what does it say when so many of us have our beginnings
in a male-intellect-dominated institutional authoritarian environment?  Does
that have an effect?

Not sure, but I'm proud of my three independent-minded girls and the fact
that they wouldn't even consider having their children in a hospital.
