[MD] Quality and the Higgs Field: An Analogy

Ham to Mark and John:

I realize you are both persuaded that Quality is an independent moral agency that rules the universe and our perception of it, obviating the need for a creator as well as a free agent.

Andre:
Ahh, up to your dialectical tricks again Ham! Please stay within the MOQ
perspective if you want to be taken seriously on this discuss.

Quality is not 'an independent moral agency'.

Your need for a creator is your own ejaculation of self affirmation and
justification and has not much to do with the MOQ which is what we are
(supposedly and ideally)discussing here.

Ham:
Morality and Conscious are "Natural", Mark insists, the consequence of
"Quality in action", while John has concluded that "the universe
obviously produces life, so it must be intrinsically moral."

Andre:
Mark and John can get themselves into their own entanglements. Quality
does not 'act', it simply is, and 'the universe' does not produce
anything. For goodness sake! This is fundamental MOQ stuff.

Ham:

What do you propose as the source of Quality? Is Quality [Value] self-created, uncreated, or a figment of man's imagination?

Andre:
I am ignoring the earlier part of your post which leads you to this part
Ham. Asking for a 'source of Quality' is a true indication you have no
idea of the MOQ. What are you doing here?

Reading some of your earlier posts it seems to me you cannot find any
ground between 'the Absolute' and 'Nihilism'. For you it is one or the
other. SOM all the way. Are you alive, dead or just existing?

Ham:

You see, I'm looking for a primary source here, and I don't find it in your atheistic ontology. Neither of you wants to talk about God, because "Wow...that's 'personal'!" But by making the claim that "everything is natural", you seem to be denying the needfor a metaphysical source. How does that differ from the objectivist's ("logical positivist"'s) worldview that Pirsig disparages?

Andre:
Well, here you have it Ham. Without a 'God' you are very alone, all by you iddy biddy self. You ask for the 'metaphysical source'? Keep on looking my man. It seems that your essence does not provide one either or are you suggesting that your essence idea is better that Pirsig's Quality idea?

I know we have asked and told you before but I would urge you to purchase Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, read it and then purchase and read LILA. The more I read your posts the more I am convinced you have done neither...despite your claims to the contrary.

Unhammingway yours
Andre
