Flattery will get you nowhere. As much as I like to believe what you're saying, it just ain't so. Like I said, my complaints are about violations of the MOST BASIC STANDARDS. I'm only talking about standards that are commonly understood on a high school debate team, not that I've ever been on one.

Now, about 'loneliness', dmb, I suggest you don't take you current situation for granted! Not everybody is so fortunate.  Loneliness can be a bitch.  I don't know if anyone is here for loneliness, but if so, it is a real mean thing to dump on them for that!

Lonely people deserve our compassion, of course. But I also think it's wrong to use this forum to satisfy one's emotional needs. Using this forum to alleviate loneliness is abusing this forum. It is an act that says MY personal needs are more important than the forum's central purpose. It is a willful disregard of this group's reason for being. It's selfish and inconsiderate. It's noise.
