Your "some people" are not obtuse.  I know exactly who you're talking about
and I just want to assure you that I will not mention Royce on this list
anymore.

A moderator who proscribes certain lines of inquiry, had best prescribe
certain lines alongside that proscription or the members won't have anything
to talk about.  May I point out that I have embraced your proposal to
discuss politics and the MoQ and have tried to encourage that line of
discussion with others, so no, I certainly am not one who believes that on
this the forum we should just "discuss everything and anything".

I also would point out that your threat below is a knife that cuts both
ways.
