Records are only good until they get their first scratch.  If I find a digital music file with a flaw (e.g., from being
uploaded from an analog source), I run it thru a software program to remove the flaw.  Also I can carry my entire music collection & its player, in my pocket.
With e-books & reader, I can carry my entire library with me.
