Rand's mission was to underblow capitalisticand selfish thinking in absurdum to pave the way for the Socialist Revolution. This is only a rumour and can be questioned in some other forum...

I suppose the Bachman, Palin and the Tea Party are all part of a Communist plot to make conservatives look bad and Austrian economics is just a practical joke. It's funny because it's plausible.

Right. And the buying and selling of things is only a social level good, at best. There is nothing particularly intellectual about it, let alone sacred or anything like that. Billions of burgers have been sold but 60% of Americans have never read a book. And the percentage of people who read substantial books is much, much smaller than 40%. It's like the dark ages, except everything shines with blinking lights.
