Andre,
I am not pushing anything. I am entitled to my own view. You,
Adrie and dmb seem to think that whatever way dmb blows,
there blows the MoQ. No, no, no! As I stated yesterday,
James was not a MoQ scholar, Seigfried is not a MoQ
scholar and I will be quite surprised if dmb ever becomes
a MoQ scholar.
There is always differences within a tradition. I am quite
tired of dmb &company acting like whatever dmb says is truth.
I'm ready to change the subject.
Marsha
p.s. I read Dean Summers paper over a year ago. It's a very
good paper.

It is a form of pragmatism, of instrumentalism, which says that the test of the true is the good. It adds that this good is not a social code or some intellectualized Hegelian Absolute. It is direct everyday experience.(LILA, p 373)

You should perhaps change it into; The MOQ is a Western (call it American if you like) version of Zen Buddhism. As Anthony suggests in his PhD: [the MOQ] is one of the first indigenous forms of Zen Buddhism to appear in the United States. (p 3).
