Most people wouldn't believe it, but Marsha's tables and chairs are not discrete. In fact, her living room is an undifferentiated continuum and her kitchen is an undivided reality. (Her decorator is a real wizard.) That's why she always has to either dine out or eat nothing but raw veggies; because her pots and pans are ever-changing. Not that it matters. The interdependence between her stove and refrigerator doesn't allow her to distinguish between "bake" and "freeze" anyway.
