Joe to Andre and All:
DQ/SQ: Is DQ in being indefinable unknowable?
Andre:
DQ is the pre-intellectual event. It is indefinable and therefore unknowable. As soon as it becomes knowable it is static.
Joe:
Emotions are indefinable and "Love" is all embracing.
Andre:
Emotions is already a name, a designation (residing at the biological level within the MOQ). Love is an emotional response to quality. The 'Love' you are talking about is a mystical realization which is something very few of us experience. I think that Pirsig uses the word 'love' only once in LILA and he uses it in his conversation with Rigel pointing to a biological response to quality.( Phaedrus' response to Lila)
Joe:
Emotions DQ format SQ intellect for intelligibility.
Andre:
You seem to be reducing all value (DQ) to biology Joe. This is called 'emotivism' and it is part of the SOM universe. By your reasoning all sq derived from an emotional DQ turns intellectually intelligible. Therefore intellectually intelligible emotions are sq.
This is so far away from Pirsig's MOQ that I cannot see any point in furthering this conversation with you Joe. More so because you have repeatedly stated it.
