Hi Mark,

It is probably universal that none of us knows what reality is.  DQ is
indefinable.  For a long time Essence was thought to be ultimate, but
evolution, a description of levels in existence, seems like a workable
concept, and essence does not evolve.  Esse to be, and ens being are not
good bed fellows in an evolving universe.  Exist and ens is more descriptive
of the evolutionary setting in which Pirsig places Quality.
