Hi Matt,
Off the top of his head Pirsig acknowledges 4 levels in evolution Inorganic,
Organic, Social, Intellectual.
A couple of questions: What is evolution? For myself I answer an order in
existence. What about 'emotions'? Not everyone feels the same. There is a
category called heroes. I acknowledge that they act from higher emotional
and higher intellectual Dq levels. Hardly without moving I find 7 levels in
evolution some indefinable like emotions, higher emotions, higher intellect,
heroes. DQ an indefinable reality in emotions has further offspring.
