Hi Dan, John,
I've fallen in love with prose poems, short little vignettes of image, emotion and ambivalence. I believe my first exposure was reading Fredrico Lorca, so many years ago. I wish I could locate whatever it was that so struck me. Those little word images left a mark on my heart. Technically, I only discovered the genre recently.
I think you both add something so special to this list. You both are intelligent beyond belief, but it is for your story-telling that I desire more.

Anyway, Billy Ray, one of the screen writers, said he writes with movie scores playing in the background. Silence has its place. But how can one resist musical lessons on how to to train your dragon.

Lu handed it to me and told me to start writing three pages a day but I wasn't very faithful about it til I actually started reading. Now I'm addicted. I see a strong resemblance to a meditative practice in it.
