Hi John,
I'll chat if you want.
Yes, science and religion walk hand in hand. I would say that both
are metaphysics, just to stay within the format of this particular
forum. Both are dogmatic in expressing the "way things are, and the
meaning of all". Of course religion is way ahead of science on the
latter. Science is still stuck in some kind of objective reality, no
esoterism there, no personal meaning beyond the endless
deconstructionalism. The more we can subdivide and attribute to
cause-effect, the more we claim to know. So, is knowing how a tree is
put together more than knowing the tree? Don't think so, it is just a
longer way of saying the same thing.
Art is an expression of DQ, just like words are; once expressed it is
"static" and people can come and see it. But the process of
expression, well, that is the interplay between DQ and sq! And, we
are right in the very middle of it at every moment of every day. So,
I will keep whipping a dead horse and say that Free-Will IS DQ in
action, it is our very soul. Nobody will listen, but that will not
get me off my horse. I guess the word is incorrigible. Giddey-up you
damned beast...
The exoteric is very static because of its very nature. Kill the
exoteric, nurture the esoteric! Balance the SQ with DQ! Restore that
balance that is rightfully yours! Don't let that little bit of
knowledge rule the day! Break the rules, sieze the day! Don't follow
the leader; don't lead the follower! Blah, blah, blah! Anybody
listening????
Definitions are just agreements. Can't we just agree on DQ? Why are
many so set on not agreeing on DQ? Geez, if we agree on DQ (define
it), maybe we can construct a metaphysics. Otherwise we are just
throwing pebbles into the pond and watching the ripples. Well, that
is fun too. I have been skipping stones lately.
I am sure that Platt is around, just not posting.
Freely wheeling the two edged sword,
Mark
