Marsha to Andre:
"April is the cruellest month, breeding Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing Memory and desire, stirring
Dull roots with spring rain."
Andre:
Yes Marsha, and this is your response to my disappointment at your behavior on this discuss, where you are deliberately maintaining your slippery sliding attitude, your non committal to any suggestion put forward by anyone for that matter? Your dismissal of anything latched in learning. Your attitude in general regarding Pirsig's MOQ, which, it was hoped by its author, would attempt to make this world a little bit better.
And now you are citing from Eliot's The Waste Land, a poem written partly in an attempt to regenerate the contemporary wasted lands as they are reflected in its modern and postmodern discursive versions where deconstruction, nihilism and narcissism play a leading role.
Don't you find it rather odd and ironic that you should post this?
Upon reflection I do not.
You appear to see yourself above such discourse, perhaps too good for such discourse which despite your denial of having one looms above all of this discuss as a huge shadow of flimsy daisies: your ego!
And, of course I was too low for an exalted person such as yourself to suggest different ways of interpreting your experiences. How dare I ???!
Mindfulness? Ha! Don't make me laugh: mind closedness/mind vacuum.
Whatever you do, do not commit yourself. See yourself as truly above all this illusory mundane conventional stuff.
