To reduce it down and directly answer
the determinism/freewill question, I believe
one must address how one values and
terms the concept of "truth", a rationalist
and a decided monist will hold that truth
as a static conception while on the other hand
a pluralist and empiricist will hold that truth
as a dynamic observation that tests those static
determined concepts.
