Hi Marsha and All,
IMHO Metaphysics answers the question of "What". In SOM existence was
accepted as reality S/O. Pirsig redefined existence as DQ/SQ. Freewill DQ
is indefinable. How I experience the indefinable falls in the realm of
metaphysics.
Science accepts Quantum investigation as temporarily indefinable while
Pirsig accepts DQ as indefinable. Quantum metaphysics which relies heavily
on the logic in defined mathematics tries to answer a metaphysical question
by an answer from definable physical reality. Pirsig with DQ/SQ describes a
more acceptable metaphysics in a statement of DQ indefinable experience, SQ
definable experience.
