[MD] Why are things called patterns?

Hi Marsha

OK - this may be the source of my misinterpretation of what you've 
stated in the past.

Is it fair to say that you see SQ (static patterns of value) as distinct 
from DQ in that, while static patterns are definable they have a 
relationship to DQ.
If possible, I'd like to avoid using quotes from others as I'd genuinely 
like to know your own thoughts on this and how you see the relationship 
between DQ and SQ. No tricks, no games and certainly no disrespect from 
my end - just a desire to understand what YOU think as I appear to have 
failed to understand what you have meant in the past.
