Hi DMB,
As I approach my 80th birthday I have to agree with everything you have
said. Still there is something in me that hollers Pay Attention! I do not
expect a revelation. Speaker and audience have differing outlooks.
Evolution is a nightmare yet very reasonable.
I don't think you value looking like a snob. I think your efforts have
indicated you value truth. A question: What is the truth of evolution? if
any?
My answer: evolution describes discreet levels in existence. For me Essence
is a meaningless word in evolutionary terms when placed beside the study of
existence. Individuality, at least, has more letters than Essence.
