Marsha to Anthony:
So what are you saying? Does 'radical empiricism' mean only what RMP says on the AHP tapes about the Zen are acceptable and communicable experiences? I was talking of my own experiences, and I am no Buddha.
Andre:
Marsha's mission on this discuss is to explore Buddhism and the MOQ. She has stated this often. From this perspective she maintains, for example, that the self does not exist. It is an ever-changing pattern of... (fill in there rest for yourself). A 'variation' on that is a comment made not so long ago wherein she states that there is no "I" in mindfulness. (Anyone with just a passing knowledge and practice of mindfulness knows this to be blatantly false. Such claim is an illusion and a clear indication of self-deception.
Just for interest's sake I have counted how many times Marsha has used the personal pronoun "I' over the past day-and-a-half. Thirty-four times!(I have not counted the possessive "me")
Just looking at the way she deals with Anthony's comment regarding the use of her(attempted)Buddhist inspired perspective ( i.e."...it is only from the Dynamic viewpoint of the "World of the Buddhas" that the fundamental nature of the static is indeed Dynamic.") a perspective with which she is paralyzing any decent discussion, she reinforces the view that Buddhism- known as the religion of NO ego- is, in her hands, the religion to EXPRESS your ego. Despite her vehement denials of the existence thereof.
She defends herSELF (at least thirty-four times) by stating that the views are based on HER experiences and she has let everyone here know that nobody tells Marsha what to do. Its MY reality, she claims, and nobody can torn at that.
What Marsha propagates is Boomeritis Buddhism: "nobody tells me what to do" and "it's my fucking reality so piss off!"
Next she'll tell us that we create our own reality!
And this on a philosophical forum discussing Pirsig's MOQ. It's embarrassing.
