It is helpful to remember that Pirsigs books are based in one original paper
to Edith Buchanan about Teaching Quality. The main theme is that we think
in the limited ways we do because we are TAUGHT to.
Our culture TEACHES us to think in subject/object reified terms.
We can CHANGE the way we are taught to think.
 
This is NOT what Marsha is asserting or what you are defending.
