Robert Pirsig laid out the MoQ in his book Lila: An Inquiry into Morals He also laid the foundations for it in Zen and the Art of Motorcycle  Maintenance. Others, such as Ant and DMB have added to it and explained it well -  i.e. they understand it. In order to progress and extend, in terms of the MoQ, first you need to  understand what Pirsig has said. MD is a forum to discuss Robert Pirsigs MoQ.
MD has a set of rules to ensure that this is what we do. What we are going to do is discuss Robert Pirsigs MoQ.

I am in complete agreement with what you have said in your last three posts Horse. You appear to be copping abuse where none, absolutely none, is warranted excepting the poster's egotistic and egocentric qualms about interference and distortions of one's own ideas and convictions. Counterarguments based on MOQ premisses and none other are taken as personal insults.

Sad really, that this site attracts jesus freaks, ego freaks, science freaks, new age freaks, buddha freaks, post modern freaks, constructionist freaks, post constructionist freaks, mystic freaks, post mystic freaks, halleluya freaks...all sorts of freaks excepting those few Quality freaks (that is why they are 'freaks') who intuit, who understand without claiming anything except quality...and that is not even claimed... it is experienced.

As I said to Marsha:

Of course I am not singling out Marsha. There are a few others. I am afraid that one of the conditions for joining this forum i.e to have read LILA or ZMM is not sufficient anymore. You see; in this zap culture it is easy to say you have read something.

The question of whether one has UNDERSTOOD something is almost taken as an insult...(Wilber is right with his boomeritis stuff!)

And of course Marsha is going to ask where the hell I get the audacity from to present myself as a moq 'FREAK'. She will think I am presentng myself as a MoQ advocate. This is an indication of her delusion. She will not comprehend a word I have uttered. Lost in a lost world.

I support Horse in whatever decisions he is going to make. He is an excellent moderator, has been for years and no one, nobody, touches his competence nor position. Anyone who desires to question this position deserves to be put where he/she needs to be put.

And I really think that Horse put it very well: If you ain't for Pirsig, if you do not want to discuss his perspective of viewing the universe, of radically exploring your own experience, to be critical, to be receptive to modify your interpretations of you experiences...then go somewhere else.

Pirsigs perspective is beyond ego-cetrisism, it is beyind ethocetrism...it is a universal perspective.

Until someone tops that one, i.e. tops ZMM and LILA I stick to Robert M. Pisig's MoQ.
