I am glad to hear that. Some people would like to discuss DQ with
words that have no meaning.

DQ can be discussed in any way one wants to so far as I can tell.
Sometimes it works for others, sometimes in doesn't. If we claim that
it can only be discussed in one way, it implies that it IS something.
When you say "handle DQ", I am not sure what you mean. DQ is a
concept, it is something that Pirsig made up. It is used for the
explanation of Quality. Quality is a manner of viewing reality. It
does not exist outside of that. It is not Some Thing. DQ is used to
offset SQ. Any concept can only be recognized in comparison to what
it is not. This is why Pirsig creates DQ and SQ. They don't really
exist, they are metaphysical presentations, for the purposes of
conveying an awareness that Pirsig has. Things become defined when
we speak of them. The indefinable is not something that simply
exists outside of definition, for that would be a definition for it.
We can certainly imagine that there is stuff out there which we cannot
know, but how would we know? It is like seeing that thing that you
will never see.
At least that is how I see it, today. But maybe Andre will present a
different way of explaining this. One can always hope.
