I think you're about right - although I think that there have been some
good posts recently from the above mentioned but they are good in that
they are countering poor arguments from others.
Most of us are here to learn and are willing to do so, whilst there are
a few who are not.

Mark's purpose on MD (as I've said from the early days of his posts) has
always had little to do with MoQ and more to do with Mark. Right from
the off, Mark has made a point of contradicting anything and everything
from anyone who has a good handle on the MoQ. Where he can't come up
with a good reasoned argument - which is the norm - he goes into total
waffle mode. You can see this on many of his recent posts to Anthony -
complete waffling nonsense!
Mark is a 'Top Dogger' and an attention seeker.
By being contrary to everyone he sees as knowledgeable and winding them
up with nonsense arguments he can project an image that he is also
knowledgeable about the MoQ. Unfortunately it's an image and not real.
Mark is also apparently anti-authority, or at least this is what he has
said in the past. What he means is that he is anti the authority of
others but most definitely not anti his own authority which he tries to
assert at every possible moment.
Mark is, I think, an egotist who has tried to dominate MD through an
inundation of posts which actually say little or nothing of value about
the MoQ. Mark has a lot more to do with the social level than anything
resembling intellect and would probably be much more suited to the other
list, which is mainly social and where he can post as often as he likes.
He won't go there though because he knows that MD is the place to be
regarding the MoQ.

John has left MD and I see little point in his returning - again, as
with Mark, I think his input is more social than intellectual.
I think Marsha is a slightly different case to Mark and John in that she
is genuinely interested in and passionate about the MoQ.

Don't be daft Dan, of course we'd miss you :) - well, anyone with a
genuine interest in the MoQ would anyway, which includes the majority of
the folk you've mentioned above.

Stick with it Dan - when we have access to folk like yourself, Ant,
Andre, Arlo and DMB and lots of others it will come. How can it not :)

I doubt it.
