Hi Andre,

I do not quite understand your position here. You complain about
Marsha's post, but are unwilling to present one of your own. Have you
ever taken a class in philosophy? Are you capable of critical
thinking, or is this some fan group? That you found my request
condescending is astounding to me. Don't we all post our opinions in
this forum, or do you simply post what you think are Pirsig's opinion.
All I ask you for was an explanation. Why do you get so negative
about that?

You claim that Marsha is inconsistent with Lila, and then do not take
responsibility for this criticism but blame it all on Pirsig and what
you said he wrote, as if you are a messenger of some kind. Maybe I am
missing something here, but are you saying you can fathom what
Pirsig's opinion is by reading Lila? Why do you think he is so simple
of mind? I have no idea how you read Lila. but you complain on how
other's read it.

All I asked for was a simple paragraph on the intellectual level. If
you can't do that then I am fine with that, but at least tell it like
it is. Don't blame Pirsig. There is no cause for you to attack
Marsha if you do not have an opinion of your own. If your opinion is
identical to Pirsig's then where does independent thought come in?
This is not a classroom, nor was it ever meant to be. Lila is an
inquiry. Where do you fit in with that inquiry?

I am trying to understand why you respond the way you do. I am not
attacking you, I am requesting information as is done in the forum.
One cannot just sit around complaining about others without
contributing something themselves. You can find my understanding of
the intellectual level in many posts. Nobody has ever disagreed with
me on it.

Cheers,
Mark
