Greetings Ham,

Thank you for the good wishes. It was a somber occasion, but the parade, ceremony and a wonderful cookout made it very nice. I hope your weekend was nice too.

As a new idea I haven't given it a great amount of thought, though as a natural tendency I think it could work, at least something to move towards. It sounds funny, but it has a degree of non-attachment that allows for the dynamic. A hypothesis acknowledges the incompleteness of what we know and promotes additional testing and new possibilities. It certainly moves away from thinking of entities as existing independently, and independent of thinking. Science being the new religion, 'hypotheses' have a scientific association and it could easily appeal to a culture. who wants to be smart and creative.

n. pl. hy·poth·e·ses (-sz)
1. A tentative explanation for an observation, phenomenon, or scientific problem that can be tested by further investigation.
2. Something taken to be true for the purpose of argument or investigation; an assumption.
3. The antecedent of a conditional statement.

As information tests wrong, it drops away and is replaced by what has greater value, all with an attitude of adventure, an attitude of continual enlightenment.

I've just begun to think about it, so thanks for your input.
