What elicited your YUCK!!! response about Burroughs? One can say YUCK!!! 
about anything. ; )

Burroughs has to be understood as not just a straight man - he's playing 
multiple games.

In Pirisigian terms, you could look at him as taking SQ so far it 
self-destructs.
