Hi Marsha
Wether somene has a good or a bad sense for quality can be discussed from what preferences that seem to use for his/her choices. What signs do we have for Ms Thatcher being a good chooser or not? What I've heard is that she promoted the Chicago school of neoliberal economics which is based on SOM. Being a SOMist means that only measureable facts count and that makes you fall into a trap if you want to measurably prove that Thatcher destroyed England. You should rather rely on unmeasureable qualities to be a pure MOQer like; is it more fun to live in England now with all this competition? What does having a job mean to you? What is the value of money in a rich man's purse? Therefore I think she had a bad self and no sense for excellence and goodness.

I believe there are number of philosophic systems, notably Ayn Rand’s ‘Objectivism,’ that call the ‘I’ or ‘individual’ the central reality. Buddhists say it is an illusion. So do scientists. The MOQ says it is a collection of static patterns capable of apprehending Dynamic Quality. I think that if you identify the ‘I’ with the intellect and nothing else you are taking an unusual position that may need some defending.”
